
Orquesta Del Rey de PR is a salsa and tropical music ensemble based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The orchestra is composed of musicians with careers spanning over twenty years in the genre. The group has performed at several prominent events, including the International Salsa Day in Panama in 2021, the Hollywood Salsa Fest in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2022, and the 39th National Salsa Day (Día Nacional de la Salsa) hosted by Puerto Rico's Z-93 radio station. In 2021, they also served as the featured orchestra for the film "The Kings of Salsa" and performed at the Goya Salsa Festival.
The ensemble has maintained an active recording schedule, releasing multiple albums and singles. In 2023, they released the albums "El Hijo del Carpintero," "Al Rey de los Santos," "Soy Tan Feliz," "La Siembra," and the tribute record "Guerreros en Pie de Lucha: Homenaje a Richie Ray & Bobby Cruz." Their 2023 single releases included "Rumba Encendia," "Homenaje a las Madres," and "Un Jibaro Casta'o."
In 2024, Orquesta Del Rey de PR released the album "Boricua, ¡Levanta Tu Bandera!" as well as the singles "A Ismael Miranda" and "Celebremos En Colombia." They followed these releases in 2025 with the single "La Trulla Que Arde."
