Felipe Fournier

Felipe Fournier is a Latin Grammy-winning producer, vibraphonist, percussionist, musical director, arranger, and educator from Costa Rica. He received his musical training in Costa Rica and Puerto Rico, graduating from the Puerto Rico Music Conservatory with a degree in Jazz and Caribbean Music. Fournier's music fuses Latin jazz, salsa, and contemporary styles to explore Latin identity. During his career, he has performed with the Costa Rican salsa group Son De Tikizia and has cited Carlos Vargas 'Tapado' as an influential mentor. He has also worked as a musical director, including projects with Ballet Nepantla.

Fournier has also engaged in multi-disciplinary projects that combine music with visual storytelling. Alongside Jeremy Bosch, he conceived the project 'SUPERMAMBO,' which is designed as the first salsa album in a comic book format, featuring artwork by Edgardo Miranda-Rodríguez. The single 'SUPERMAMBO' features Rubén Blades as the narrator and Jeremy Bosch on lead vocals, while Fournier serves as a producer and performer.
