NegroSon Orquesta is a Chilean salsa group formed in 2008 under the direction of Juan Rivadeneira. The ensemble operates under a "salsa sin fronteras" (salsa without borders) philosophy, aiming to bypass standard genre labels to create rhythm-driven music tailored specifically for dancers.
Throughout its trajectory, the group has released albums such as "A mi Tierra" and "Salsa de Chile," which marked their second studio release. Typically performing as a ten-piece band, NegroSon has established a regular presence in the Chilean music scene, performing at venues like SCD Egaña and the Salsoteca Maestra Vida.
NegroSon has collaborated with several prominent Latin American musicians and groups. Their collaborative portfolio includes Cuban artist Tirso Duarte, Peruvian vocalist Carlo Supo, and Chilean acts such as Santa Feria, Erick Berrios, Solo Di Medina, and Combo con clase.
