
Edgar José Quijada, known professionally as Edgar "Dolor" Quijada, is a Venezuelan salsa singer, composer, and musical director with a career spanning over 45 years. He began his musical path as a vocalist for the Orquesta Yacambú before working with various other ensembles. He is recognized within the Venezuelan salsa scene as an accomplished sonero, particularly noted for his vocal improvisation.
Throughout his career, Quijada has worked as both a lead soloist and a backing vocalist, accompanying many national and international artists. He has recorded with numerous orchestras, including Federico y su Combo. His musical output primarily focuses on the salsa and bolero genres, spanning multiple studio recordings and live concert performances.
