Chegüi Metralla

Chegüi Metralla is the artistic name of Héctor Dávila, a Puerto Rican pianist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, and vocalist based in Newark, New Jersey. He has active roles in the salsa and Latin jazz scenes of New York and New Jersey, where he has backed numerous artists in the genre over several decades.

He leads the musical group Metralla y Los Mercenarios and has collaborated with musicians such as saxophonist Dave Schumacher. As a composer, Dávila contributed to the album Golpe Duro by percussionist Little Johnny Rivero.
