Goyo

Gloria "Goyo" Martínez is an Afro-Colombian singer, rapper, and producer born in Condoto, Chocó, on the Colombian Pacific Coast. She is widely recognized as a co-founder and lead vocalist of the Latin Grammy-winning group ChocQuibTown, which she formed in Cali alongside her brother Miguel "Slow" Martínez and Carlos "Tostao" Valencia. Growing up in a musical family, her second cousin was Jairo Varela Martínez, the co-founder of the legendary Colombian salsa orchestra Grupo Niche. Early in her career, she also performed as a vocalist with the electro-cumbia group Sidestepper.

As a solo artist, Martínez released the project "En Letra de Otro", which showcases her versatile vocal style through a mix of covers and original tracks. The album features her reinterpretations of classic salsa and urbano songs, blending them with elements of reggae, R&B, jazz, and hip-hop. Her solo and group work has established her as an influential figure representing Afro-Colombian identity and contemporary musical fusion.
