José Sisto López

José Sisto López is a Cuban percussionist, singer, composer, and director from Artemisa, Cuba. He is the director and leader of the contemporary Cuban musical group Kolao (also known as Kolao Cuba). Beyond his performance career, López has served as the president of the Artemisa branch of the Asociación Hermanos Saíz (AHS), a Cuban cultural organization for young artists.

Throughout his career with Kolao, López has composed and directed works focusing on tropical Caribbean and Cuban rhythms. The group's releases include the project "La cosquillita" and the song "Diferente," the latter of which was written by López and released as a music video produced by El kilo Producciones. López also composed the project "Tu gloria," which was recorded at EGREM's Estudios 18 with the support of EGREM's general director Renier "Kike" Rodríguez, with aims to submit the work to the Cubadisco festival.
