Edward Plater

Edward Plater is a Venezuelan trumpeter originally from Caracas and Barlovento, Venezuela. He began his career within the country's youth music program, El Sistema (the National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs of Venezuela). Plater later became a member of the Simón Bolívar Symphony Band, where he served as principal trumpet under the direction of Maestro Jesús Ignacio Pérez Perazo.

Plater has achieved international recognition as a lead trumpet player for several prominent touring productions of Cirque du Soleil, including KOOZA and LUZIA. Through these shows, he has performed extensively in countries such as Spain, Switzerland, and England. He is an endorsed artist for Schagerl Music and Bob Reeves Brass.
