Ariel Casco

Ariel Casco is an Argentine singer best known as the lead vocalist and leader of Commanche, one of the most prominent bands of the Argentine cumbia and tropical music scene during the 1990s. Born in the province of Misiones, Casco relocated with his family to Buenos Aires at the age of two and grew up in the suburban Greater Buenos Aires area.

During his teenage years, Casco was originally a fan of heavy metal music, with a particular admiration for bands like Metallica and the Argentine group Hermética. He eventually transitioned into tropical music, fronting Commanche during a period of high popularity and heavy media exposure in the mid-1990s. After the group's peak era, Casco stepped away from the intense media spotlight and later designated his focus toward performing as a solo artist.
