George Delgado is a salsa percussionist of Puerto Rican descent who was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. He began his musical education at the age of six, when his father taught him to play the congas and timbales. Delgado subsequently took charge of his own musical education, teaching himself to play various other percussion instruments.
Throughout his professional career, Delgado has performed and recorded as a percussionist with several prominent salsa and Latin jazz ensembles. His collaborative credits include working with notable groups such as Conjunto Libre, the Spanish Harlem Orchestra, and Soneros de Barrio.
