Cantero has fronted several high-profile Cuban groups, including Bamboleo, Charanga Forever, and Pupy y los que Son Son. He later joined the legendary orchestra Los Van Van, where he continues to perform as a lead vocalist, recognized for his distinct vocal control, stage energy, and improvisational style.
