
Luisito Aballe is a Cuban percussionist, pianist, composer, arranger, and producer originally from Holguín, Cuba. He began his musical training at the age of 11 at the Vocational School of Art (Escuela Vocacional de Arte) in Holguín, and later specialized in percussion studies at the Professional School of Music (Escuela Profesional de Música). During his training, he won first place four consecutive times at the Amadeo Roldán National Percussion Contest in Havana.
Throughout his career, Aballe has worked across multiple genres, collaborating with classical Cuban orchestras as well as prominent jazz and salsa musicians. He later relocated to Switzerland, where he founded the Cuban music orchestra Luisito y su Salsómetro, working as its director, producer, arranger, and principal multi-instrumentalist.
