
Gonzalo Porta is an Australian-born salsa vocalist of Uruguayan descent. After moving to Uruguay at a young age, he established his music career at the age of 13. He achieved commercial success across South America, including Uruguay, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Chile, securing number-one hits with groups such as Monterrojo. Over his extensive career, he has accumulated 20 recorded albums and eight Gold Records.
Porta later relocated to Sydney, Australia, where he directs Gonzalo Porta & The Sydney Salsa All Stars. His solo discography consists of numerous singles and live tracks released between 2015 and 2025. His recent repertoire includes salsa adaptations of popular tracks, such as "Que Nivel De Mujer" in 2022 and "Titi Me Pregunto" in 2024, as well as the 2025 single "Tributo Tito Rojas," which honors the legacy of the late Puerto Rican salsa singer.
