Orquesta Mulenze is a Puerto Rican salsa group founded in 1976 by director Edwin Morales. The orchestra initially operated under the name Yambo Orchestra, working as a backing band for high-profile salsa artists touring Puerto Rico, including Celia Cruz, Hector Lavoe, Cheo Feliciano, and Ismael Miranda.
Throughout its career, the group has sustained an active recording and performing schedule, specializing in salsa and timba. Their discography includes several notable releases, such as the 2011 album "Orquesta La Mulenze, Vol. 2," the 2017 studio album "De Regreso..!," and the 2020 live recording "Mulenze En Caruao, Venezuela."
The orchestra has remained active into the 2020s, releasing the album "La Mujer Que Amo" in 2023, followed by the single "Me Dejaste En Pausa" in 2026.
