
Cristina Veruska Verdú Mendoza was born on January 26, 1993, in Caracas, Venezuela. Boasting Afro-Venezuelan Barloventeña roots, she began singing at the age of eight. She later relocated to Lima, Peru, where she established her professional artistic career. She attained wider recognition in 2022 after securing third place in the television competition "La Voz Perú."
Verdú's music spans the genres of salsa, bolero, and salsa choke. Between 2023 and 2024, she released several singles, including "Me Cansé de Ti", "La Negrita", and "Pasito a Pasito", which served as precursors to her planned solo album "Caminando". Her discography also includes the live album "Son, Boleros y Salsa, Vol. 01 - En Vivo" (2024) and the single "La Negrita Tiene Swing".
