Cadencia, also known as Cadencia Orquesta, is a Colombian salsa group formed in the city of Cali in April 2018. Founded by bongosero and percussionist Jefferson Arango, the orchestra was established to preserve and celebrate the classic sound of traditional salsa. The group draws musical inspiration from prominent figures and ensembles of the genre, such as Bobby Valentin, Willie Rosario, Papo Lucca, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, and Oscar Hernandez with the Spanish Harlem Orchestra.
Between 2019 and 2025, Cadencia released several singles showcasing their range, spanning both energetic salsa dura and romantic styles. Early releases like the 2021 single 'Matheo' were followed by a prolific series of singles in 2023, which included 'Mi Camino', 'Mi Bongo', 'Me Has Engañado', 'Prueba de Amor', and 'A Trabajar'. In 2024, they released 'Sin Rencor', a salsa romantica track composed by Jefferson Arango and featuring lead vocals by Diego Galindo.
Into 2025, the band expanded their catalog with further single releases including 'Campana En Guaguanco' and 'Better Together', maintaining their presence in the contemporary salsa scene.
