CK y los Profetas de Ecuador is a salsa project led by Ecuadorian songwriter Carlos "Kiko" Morlas Sion. The musical initiative is characterized by compositions penned by Morlas Sion, which are recorded in collaboration with various guest vocalists and arrangers.
In 2023, the group released the single "La Carita de Dios," featuring singer Fernando Aguirre. Morlas Sion wrote the song as a tribute to the basketball players who participated in the IV Torneo Internacional de Quito in 2022, an event that had been postponed due to the pandemic. The project's other collaborative works include "Vengo a Decir Que Te Quiero," featuring Venezuelan vocalist Cheo Valenzuela with arrangements by Elio Laz, and "La Princesa," written in early 2024.
