Don Perignon y La Puertorriqueña is a Puerto Rican salsa orchestra founded in 1975. The ensemble is led by timbalero, director, and music producer Pedro Luis Morales Cortijo, who is artistically known as Don Perignon. Over several decades, the orchestra has established itself as an enduring representative of traditional Puerto Rican salsa.
The group's discography spans multiple major milestones and collaborations. In 2011, they released the album "30 Aniversario A Otro Nivel", followed by the 2012 holiday album "Regalo De Navidad" and the collaborative single "Rescatemos Tradiciones" featuring Tito Rojas. Other releases from this period include the singles "Mi Mal Necesario" and "Un Pueblo Unido".
In January 2026, the orchestra released the album "Classique et Savoureux 'Clásico Y Sabroso'", marking the fourteenth production of Morales Cortijo's musical career. This production, alongside the 2025 single "La Bikina", represents the continuing output of the veteran salsa ensemble.
