Alejandro Rincón y La Saloma is a salsa ensemble based in Bogotá, Colombia. Founded by multi-instrumentalist, composer, and arranger Alejandro Rincón, the group is characterized by a style that blends salsa with various Cuban rhythms, including Nueva Trova, traditional son cubano, bolero, and timba. The project prioritizes songwriting and lyricism, with compositions that address social issues, daily urban life, love, and heartbreak.
Since debuting their catalog in 2020 with the singles "Se Fugó Conmigo" and "Cantilenas", the band has released a steady stream of music. Their work includes singles like "Dignidad" (2021), "Quisiera Hablarte" (2022), and "Kachacuá Session, Vol. I" (2023). In 2024, the group released their album "Jocundo" alongside the single "Con Tal de Verte", followed by "En la Próxima Parada" in 2025. Their discography also features live session recordings and the single "Ni Modo".
In addition to their studio work, Alejandro Rincón y La Saloma have performed live in their home city, including an appearance at Bogotá's Parque Simón Bolívar.
