Andrea Piombin, professionally known as El Timba, is an Italian DJ, producer, and composer specializing in salsa, timba, mambo, and Latin jazz. Born in Padua, Italy, Piombin began studying the piano at the age of eight. He initially started his career as an electronic music composer before transitioning into Latin rhythms. Over a career spanning more than twenty years, he has worked extensively as both a DJ and producer, eventually founding his own recording and music publishing space, Electric Studio.
Piombin's catalog includes the 2010 album "Descargando". In 2012, he released the single "Hermano (Remix)", followed by the 2014 single "Guaguamambo", which featured a collaboration with pianist Fabio Gianni. His production work continued with the releases of "Tremendo ritmo" in 2017, "Proyecto Dos" in 2018, and the album "Ecleptic" in 2020.
In 2022, El Timba released the single "Danse Danse Danse". This was followed in 2024 by the singles "Te vi llorar" and "PERO TU", as well as the album "Latinos Unidos". Piombin composed and arranged "Latinos Unidos" himself, featuring vocal contributions from artists Amy Ambros and Esteban el Loco.
