Moyo Sanchez (born Jose Moyo Sanchez) is a singer and songwriter who specializes in mambo and salsa music. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Sanchez relocated with his family at the age of five to the town of Hatillo, Puerto Rico, where he was raised. He developed an interest in music during his childhood, growing up listening to traditional artists such as Felipe Rodriguez, Davilita, and Los Condes, though he was ultimately drawn specifically to the sound of "salsa gorda."
Sanchez began releasing his own music in 2020, debuting with the singles "Robale un Beso" and "Asi Soy Yo." He continued his output with a series of singles in 2021, including "Cuanto Daria," "Amigo," and "Que Nadie Me Hable De Dieta." His subsequent releases include "El Amor Es un Volcan" in 2022 and "Ojos Cerrados" in 2023.
