Los Hermanos Colón is a salsa group formed in New York City, consisting of three brothers: Marcos, Herman, and Freddy Colón. Marcos was born in Puerto Rico, while Herman and Freddy were born in New York. The brothers grew up in East Harlem, commonly known as "El Barrio," where they were exposed to music at an early age by their father, who was the leader of the salsa band La Sonora Casino 77.
With Marcos Colón serving as the lead vocalist, the band is known for performing a mix of traditional Afro-Cuban rhythms, New York-style salsa dura, and English-language salsa. Over a career spanning more than three decades, the group has released multiple projects, including their ninth album Sabor Colón, which was produced by Ernie Acevedo.
In addition to their album catalog, the group's discography also includes the single "Hola Mi Amor."
