Javier Luis is a singer, songwriter, actor, producer, and director who has built a career in the salsa and ballad genres. Known by the moniker "La Sonrisa Que Canta" (The Smile That Sings), he is an independent artist who operates his own record label, Miramar Entertainment Inc. He is also a songwriter and publisher member of A.S.C.A.P.
As a live performer, Javier Luis leads a 12-piece salsa orchestra. With this ensemble, he performed at Lincoln Center's Merkin Concert Hall at the Kaufman Music Center, marking the first time a salsa artist staged a performance at the venue. His musical releases include the song "Para Que Quieres Vida" as well as the 2026 single "All In Love is Fair".
In addition to his musical endeavors, Javier Luis has pursued a career in acting. His film credits include appearances in Her Fatal Flaw (2006), Salsa Lessons (2009), and Cuento de Navidad (2024).
