Tromboranga is an independent salsa dura orchestra based in Barcelona, Spain. Formed in 2011, the group gained initial recognition with the release of singles such as "Agua que va caer." The orchestra's multicultural lineup includes musicians from Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia, and Spain.
The band's musical style is characterized by a traditional trombone-driven sound, robust percussion, and classic "soneos," or vocal improvisations. Drawing inspiration from the salsa brava of the 1970s and 1980s, Tromboranga's sound is influenced by historical artists such as Ray Perez, Conjunto Libre, and La Perfecta. Their repertoire focuses on music arranged for salsa dancers, featuring both original compositions and covers from the golden era of the genre.
Since its debut, Tromboranga has toured internationally and released numerous recordings. Among their catalog of releases are the singles "Cobayende" and "Baila Son Montuno."
