Ricardo Amaray is a Cuban singer, songwriter, and balladeer known for his work in salsa and romantic music. He achieved wide recognition as a lead vocalist for the prominent Cuban musical group Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco, performing with the orchestra for many years.
Beyond his vocal contributions, Amaray has been a prolific songwriter. For Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco, he composed several hit tracks, including "Amor matemático" and "Saliditas contigo." Additionally, he has written successful songs for other popular Cuban acts, such as "Ella es como es," "Vuelve junto a mÃ," and "Abusadora" for La Charanga Habanera.
Amaray eventually transitioned from his long-standing role with the orchestra to pursue a solo career. In 2025, he released the solo single "Mi Unica Estrella."
