Salsabor y Son is a Venezuelan salsa ensemble directed by the flautist and composer Alberto González. Released under the BIBOMUSIC label, the group is known for its modern interpretations of classic salsa arrangements.
The project gained recognition for its tribute album dedicated to salsa icon Ray Barretto, titled Salsabor y Son Tributo a Ray Barretto. The 12-track production features updated instrumentation, including flute solos by González, and opens with "Montuno a Barretto," an original composition written by González specifically for the project. Salsabor y Son's catalog also includes the single "Margie" and the 2025 follow-up album, Vente a La Rumba.
