Son de Barrio de Puerto Rico is a salsa orchestra founded in 2010 in Aguada, Puerto Rico. The group was established by Hiram Muñiz and Wilfredo Rodríguez "Puchy" after the two departed a previous musical group, developing a distinct sound that combines the traditional Puerto Rican cuatro with the piano.
The orchestra operates under general director Wilfredo Rodríguez "Puchy," with Ceferino Cabán serving as musical director and arranger, and Jorge Mártir Arce on lead vocals. Focused on performing classic salsa fused with other rhythms, the band celebrated near-fifteen years of activity with the release of their second album, which received an endorsement from El Gran Combo's bandleader Rafael Ithier.
In 2025, the group released the single "Bailando Con La Soledad," followed by the single "Pregúntale a Papi" in 2026.
