CÓRDOBA also features the incredible talents of percussionist Karl Perazzo, an 11-time Grammy Award winner renowned for his outstanding work with Santana. As long-time friends and collaborators, Karl and Armando first teamed up in 1994 to form Avance. Over the decades, they have continued to find innovative, high-energy ways to collaborate, forging an unbreakable bond through their shared musical journey.
Reflected in the tight, precise rhythms of CÓRDOBA, this musical family extends to powerhouse players who bring massive industry accolades of their own: guitarist Dave Shul (a 14-year member and co-writer for Michael Franti and Spearhead), percussionist Christian Pepin (a multi-Grammy Award winner and nominee), and Ernesto Mazar Kindelán on bass (formerly of the legendary, Grammy-nominated Cuban powerhouse David Calzado y su Charanga Habanera).
