Renzo Antonio Padilla Reyes, known professionally as Renzo Padilla or 'El Borincaico,' is a Peruvian salsa singer and songwriter born on July 12, 1979, in the Barrios Altos district of Lima, Peru. He began his musical career at the age of 15 singing backing vocals for the orchestra New Band Salsa. He later moved to New York, where he joined the group Fuerza Juvenil and collaborated with timbalero Jimmy Delgado on the recording of the single 'Salsa con Dulzura'.
In 2010, Padilla was invited by the New York-based collective Our Latin Thing to perform on stage with VÃctor Manuelle. As a songwriter, Padilla composed 'Donde Está Tu Amor,' a track recorded by the Puerto Rican singer Maelo Ruiz. His catalog of releases also includes the singles 'Mi Guaguanco' and 'Mister Trombon'.
