Lucho Cortés is a Puerto Rican tropical and salsa singer who launched his solo career in early 2023. He debuted with the romantic salsa single "Dame la Oportunidad," which was promoted in partnership with the NewGenSalsa platform.
In 2024, Cortés released the single "No Te Niegues." The studio production for the track featured collaboration from prominent tropical musicians, including trumpeters Dante Vargas and Angel Segarra, bassist Jorge Rivera, pianist Carlos García, and trombonists Carlos "Cuto" Soto, Juan Carlos Cardona, and Carlos Oscar Cepero. As a live performer, Cortés fronts his own orchestra, Tributo a los grandes, performing at public events such as the Carnaval Arroyano in Arroyo, Puerto Rico.
