Ramón Santiago Nuevo Rodríguez, professionally known as Pupy Santiago, is a Cuban percussionist, singer, and songwriter. Born in Havana, Cuba on July 25, Santiago has developed an artistic career spanning more than forty years, with a focus on salsa, salsa romántica, and salsa balada.
Over his decades-long career, Santiago has established himself as both a vocalist and a percussionist. His discography includes the album "Paseando por mi Cuba," and his work was featured on the compilation "Salsa Fresca! Dance Hits of the '90s."
Santiago remains active in the recording industry, with releases that include the singles "Así Me Has Enamorado" and "Seré," the latter released in 2026.
