Javi Quiñones is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Ponce, Puerto Rico. He has a formal academic background in music, holding bachelor's degrees in Music Education and Choral Direction. Early in his vocal career, he performed as a member of the Choir of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Puerto Rico. Before launching his solo career, he gained extensive experience performing with various national and international orchestras.
Quiñones initiated his solo career with the presentation of his 11-track debut album, "Quiero Cantarte." The production, which earned him the nickname "El cupido de la salsa," included the title track and the single "Es que tú," released in both salsa and bachata versions. Often referred to as "El poeta de la salsa," Quiñones has also used his music to address social and political issues, as seen in his salsa dura single "Guitarra o Violin."
His solo discography also includes singles such as "Ni Una Mas," "Pa los de aquí y los de allá," and the 2026 track "Amor Del Bueno."
