Eduardo Santiago Rodríguez, professionally known as Eddie Santiago, is a Puerto Rican salsa singer and songwriter born on August 18, 1955, in Toa Alta, Puerto Rico. He is widely recognized as one of the key pioneers of the salsa romántica style, a subgenre that he helped popularize during the 1980s and 1990s.
Santiago achieved major success with several landmark recordings. His notable songs include "Tú Me Quemas" from the album Atrevido y Diferente, and "Lluvia" from the album Sigo Atrevido. He is also well known for the tracks "Mía" and "Tú Me Haces Falta," which appeared on his album Invasión de la Privacidad, with the latter also featured on Soy el Mismo.
With a career spanning over three decades, Santiago remains an Board-certified figure in the Latin music industry. His recorded catalog also includes the single "Sigue Así."
