Isaac Lugo, professionally known as DJ Sonero, is a Mexican DJ and producer specializing in salsa and Cuban rhythms. Born in Mexico City, Lugo developed a passion for salsa during his childhood due to the influence of his father, an avid collector of Cuban and salsa music. Currently based in San Diego, California, Lugo also uses the artistic moniker "Yo Soy El Hijo Del Guaguanco."
Lugo's music blends traditional salsa roots with contemporary production techniques. His debut studio EP, "A mi estilo", featured collaborations with vocalist Nestor Pacheco and La Orquesta Retrombon (also credited as La Orquesta Retombon), marking his solo debut and establishing his style rooted in classic mid-century Cuban and salsa sounds.
In addition to his EP, his discography includes the 2025 singles "Batacum" and "Sonero (Rumbero)", as well as the single "Que Nadie Sepa Mi Sufrir".
