Eddie Ortiz and Son Caribe is a Latin music ensemble based in Honolulu, Hawaii. The band was formed in 2000 by Eddie Ortiz to address a void in the local live music scene. The group's name translates to "rhythm of the Caribbean," reflecting their repertoire which spans salsa, merengue, charts, bachata, cha-cha-cha, mambo, and Latin jazz.
Since its founding, the ensemble has performed at various festivals and has opened for major international Latin music acts visiting Hawaii. In 2024, the group released the single "Baila" and the album "Salsa Del Paraíso," additions to their discography which also includes the album "Salsa In Paradise."
