Pedro Rafael Marrero Concepción, professionally known as Rafi Marrero, is a Puerto Rican percussionist, composer, arranger, and bandleader. Born in Santurce and raised in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, he began playing percussion as a bongosero in his school band. He eventually relocated to San Antonio, Texas, where he directs his orchestra, Rafi Marrero y Su Orquesta.
Throughout his career, Marrero has worked alongside prominent Latin music figures such as Ismael Miranda, Tito Puente Jr., and Paquito Guzmán. His orchestra focuses on salsa and guaguancó designed for dancers, frequently performing at public and private events across Texas.
The ensemble's discography includes the single "La Vecinita," which features vocals by Peruvian singer Luisito Orbegoso, as well as the 2025 release "El Cacique."
