Raúl Izquierdo Allen, known professionally as LRey (also referred to as L-Rey), is a Cuban singer and songwriter. Born in eastern Cuba, he later relocated to Spain. His musical influences stem from Cuban traditions such as son montuno, guaracha, and rumba, alongside modern Latin sounds like salsa, timba, bachata, and merengue. He began singing and exploring tropical music as a child.
LRey's recording catalog spans from 2017 to 2024, focusing primarily on timba and son cubano. He made his debut in 2017 with the singles "Ahora Que" and "Esta Noche Si", followed by "Tu Eres un Dolor" in 2019. In 2021, he released his self-titled full-length album, "LRey". Between 2022 and 2024, he released a steady stream of singles, including "FranChesca", "Mantente en Tu Lugar", "Eleggua", "Donde Estas", "veneno", "LO MISMO ME DA", and "PA GOZAR".
