Yahir Montes is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and arranger originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, currently based in New York City. He began studying music formally at the age of fourteen at the Instituto Universitario de Bellas Artes in Colima, Mexico, where he completed a Bachelor of Music with honorable mention.
After moving to New York City, Montes built a career performing on guitar and bass, composing, and collaborating with artists in various disciplines, including theatre, dance, and film. In 2026, he released the album "PLURIFONÍA".
