Billo's Caracas Boys

Billo's Caracas Boys is a Latin music orchestra formed on August 31, 1937, by the Dominican-Venezuelan conductor, arranger, and composer Luis María Frómeta Pereyra, widely known as Billo Frómeta. The group became highly associated with the city of Caracas, Venezuela, which inspired many of Frómeta's compositions. The orchestra's musical style incorporated a variety of genres, spanning bolero, Latin jazz, and Hispanic American music, with Frómeta regularly integrating Dominican merengue and mangulinas into the recordings.

Frómeta directed and performed with the group in Venezuela until the fall of the Marcos Pérez Jiménez regime in 1958. Throughout its history, the orchestra released albums such as Comunicando, Pobre del pobre, and Paula. The band's extensive discography has been preserved through key compilations, such as the 1996 release Billo, Grandes Éxitos, and contemporary projects including the 2026 album Legendarios Vol. 2.
