
Telmary Díaz, known professionally as Telmary, was born in Havana, Cuba, on March 10, 1977. She is a Cuban rapper, musician, and spoken-word artist. She began her musical career in 1999 by forming the band Free Hole Negro, before joining the collaborative project Interactivo under the direction of Roberto Carcassés in 2002. During this period, she also collaborated with singer-songwriter William Vivanco.
In 2004, Telmary launched her career as a solo artist with a concert titled "Que como tengo la tierra tengo Yemayá." Her debut solo album, "A Diario," was produced by Roberto Carcassés. Since launching her solo work, she has performed internationally, touring across Europe, South America, and Japan. In 2014, she released the album "Libre."
