
Ley Alejandro is a Cuban-born salsa singer who decided to pursue a musical career in 1990, after earning an English teaching degree from the José Martí School in Havana. He began his career performing in a Cuban trio before joining the tropical group NG La Banda. While touring the United States with the group, he requested political asylum to establish himself in the country.
In 1997, Alejandro signed with BMG and released his debut solo album, "Gracias." Known for performing rhythmic, danceable salsa, his repertoire includes tracks such as "Desesperadamente Enamorado" and "La Malagueña." In 2002, he released the album "Juntos."
