Adelmo Antonio Gauna Barrera, known professionally as Adelmo Gauna, is a Venezuelan percussionist, drummer, producer, comedian, and communicator originally from the region of Zulia and currently based in Miami, Florida. He works as the timbalero for salsa singer Luis Enrique and is recognized as an artist for Meinl Percussion.
In addition to his work with other artists, Gauna leads his own tropical music group called Adelmo Gauna y la Cokis Band. His independent projects include the single "Jálate El Muñeco" and a highly-viewed tribute performance, "Homenaje a Hector Lavoe," featuring vocalists Nestor Rivero and Socrates Cariaco. Gauna's creative endeavors also incorporate humor and media hosting.
