Charlie Sepúlveda is a Latin jazz trumpeter born in the Bronx, New York, in 1962 and raised in Caguas, Puerto Rico. He discovered his passion for the trumpet at a young age, starting his musical training at the Escuela Libre de Música de Caguas. He later pursued a music degree at the City College of New York, graduating after studying under the guidance of bassist Ron Carter and trumpeter William Fielder.
Throughout his career, Sepúlveda has worked as a Latin jazz and salsa musician, performing both as a bandleader and collaborator. His discography includes the 2003 album Feeling Good Again, as well as the 2026 release Un Poco Mas. In 2026, he was recognized as a Lifetime Achievement Honoree by the National Puerto Rican Day Parade (NPRDP) for his contributions to music.
