La Sucursal S.A. is a salsa band established in the multicultural Raval district of Barcelona, Spain. Founded by bassist and composer Santiago Acevedo Casas, who served as the group's musical director and arranger for fifteen years, the band brought together musicians from various countries. They established a signature sound characterized as "salsa brava," drawing heavy inspiration from the 1960s and 1970s New York Latin music movement.
The group launched their recording career in the late 2000s, performing at Barcelona's La Mercè festival in 2008 prior to releasing their debut album, "Lo Nuestro," in 2009. They followed this release with the "Lo Que Viene 2010" maxi-single in 2010 and the album "Sin Fronteras" in 2011, showcasing a style that spans salsa, mambo, and bachata.
Over their career, the band's music has been featured on several film soundtracks. Their song "No Te Puedo Querer" became a notable hit, establishing itself as a classic among music collectors and dancers, particularly in Cali, Colombia.
