Ana Beatriz "La Diferente" is a Puerto Rican salsa vocalist known for her contralto vocal range and her style of transforming classic ballads into salsa arrangements. Raised in an environment where she was exposed to various musical styles, she was influenced by the poetry of Antonio Cabán Vale "El Topo" alongside salsa icons such as Celia Cruz, Johnny Pacheco, and the Fania All-Stars. She also cites La Lupe as an early mentor who advised her on developing an original and powerful performance style.
Her professional solo career began with a salsa adaptation of "Cierra Los Ojos y Juntitos Recordemos," a song originally popularized by Yolandita Monge. Between 2021 and 2022, her discography grew with the release of singles such as "Feliz Navidad," "En La Oscuridad," and "No Vuelvas por Aqui." In 2022, she released her second album, "Gracias a La Vida," a nine-track production exploring tropical and Latin jazz genres.
