Ramón Nicolás Reyes, professionally known as Rey Reyes, is a Dominican salsa singer and musician born in Santo Domingo. He developed an interest in music during his childhood, initially playing percussion instruments such as the marimba and congas before transitioning to lead vocals. Reyes eventually emigrated to New York, where he established himself within the Dominican salsa movement.
Throughout his recording career, Reyes has released a variety of albums and singles within the salsa genre. His catalog includes the 1996 album "12 Super Exitos" and the 2016 album "La Libertad". In 2021, he issued multiple projects, including "El Rey", "I'm Back", "El Clavo", and "Salsa, Timba y Son". His subsequent releases include the 2024 album "Uncion 7" and the single "La Caleta".
