Yacel Sagarra is a Cuban singer, songwriter, and guitarist born in Santiago de Cuba in 1987. Having performed for over fifteen years across Cuba and Japan, Sagarra eventually established his residence in Japan, where he continues to develop his career.
In Japan, Sagarra has performed with the Yacel Sagarra Trio and toured alongside Brazilian bassist Rubim de Toledo. He is also one half of the Cuban-Japanese duo ExCorde alongside Japanese musician Aya Hashimoto. His musical style primarily focuses on timba and salsa.
Sagarra began releasing music under his own name with his 2022 debut album, Amor y Silencio, alongside a Japanese-language single, Pense Que Eras Tu (Version en japones). He subsequently released the single Y Nos Da Igual in 2023, followed by several live studio singles in 2024, including Y Te Vi and Enamorados. In 2025, his releases included Tribute a Nico Saquito, Navegante, and Se va, the latter of which placed on the Latinos Unidos Record chart.
