Rodrigo Mendoza

Rodrigo Mendoza is a Venezuelan salsa vocalist with a career spanning over four decades. Merging elements of his early background in rock and percussion into Latin dance music, he is widely referred to by the nickname "El Señor Sonero" and earned recognition as a lead singer for the prominent Venezuelan orchestra Dimensión Latina.

Mendoza's recording catalog dates back to the late 1970s, with solo releases such as "Con la Salsa" (1977) and "Lo Mejor de Rodrigo Mendoza" (1980). Over the decades, he has continued to release new music, including his 2023 album "Huellas" and a live performance single recorded at the Teatro Teresa Carreño in Caracas. He remained active into 2025, releasing the singles "Sin Ti" and "Te hice Mujer."
