Carloscar Cepero, nicknamed "Bigtrombón" due to his height and stature, was born on May 4, 1987, in Cataño, Puerto Rico. A professional trombonist, he graduated from the Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico. Over his career, he has performed with various ensembles, participated in descargas at the Nuyorrican Café, and collaborated with the group Esencia.
Cepero is the leader, trombonist, composer, and arranger for La New Talent Salsa Orchestra. The ensemble began recording material in 2009 and completed work in January 2012 on a project designed to showcase an aggressive, uptempo style of "salsa dura" aimed at dancers. Cepero wrote and arranged ten tracks for the production, including "La vecina," "Falta de reconocimiento," and "Como es él."
His recorded catalog includes the 2012 album "La New Talent Salsa Orchestra," the 2012 single "Micaela," and the single "A Bailar Sabroso."
