La Guabalosa is a salsa orchestra formed by pianist and director Santiago Rojas. The project began to take shape in late 2017 when Rojas gathered a group of friends and colleagues, officially leading to the band's formation in 2019. Blending salsa, jazz, and guaguancó, the group is recognized within the district music scene and performed at the Festival Salsa al Parque in 2024.
The orchestra's recording career began in 2019 with the release of the singles 'Vivo la Vida' and 'Natalí', as well as the track 'GUABALOSO'. Performing a mix of salsa and timba, the ensemble expanded its output in subsequent years, releasing 'Hasta que me olvides' in 2024, 'PA' VOS' in 2025, and 'BASTA UNA RAZON' in 2026.
